...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR CENTRAL CULLMAN, CENTRAL MADISON, SOUTHEASTERN MORGAN, JACKSON AND MARSHALL COUNTIES... At 245 PM CDT, Doppler radar has indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across portions of the warned area, especially from around Hanceville northward to Holly Pond, and into western portions of Marshall County. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible especially in areas from Woodville and Paint Rock, northeastward through Skyline. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Southern Huntsville, Cullman, Scottsboro, Guntersville, Arab, Bridgeport, Redstone Arsenal, Hanceville, Good Hope, Stevenson, Owens Cross Roads, Hollywood, Grant, Skyline, Gurley, Holly Pond, Section, Woodville, Pisgah and Dodge City. At 243 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Woodville, or 13 miles west of Scottsboro, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Scottsboro, Hollywood, Skyline, Gurley, Woodville, Pleasant Groves, Hytop, Paint Rock, Martintown, and Lim Rock. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
