* WHERE...Illinois River from Starved Rock Lock and Dam downstream
to confluence with Big Bureau Creek, including the La Salle gauge.

* WHEN...Until Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Lower parking lot at Starved Rock State
Park is inundated east of La Salle. High water levels begin to
impact shipping interests along the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 21.8 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 AM CDT Tuesday was 23.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Thursday afternoon and continue falling to 17.4 feet by
Tuesday, April 14.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
