...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM CDT FRIDAY...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS PREVIOUSLY IN EFFECT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois,
including the following counties, in north central Illinois,
Boone, De Kalb, Lee, Ogle and Winnebago. In northeast Illinois,
Lake IL and McHenry.

* WHEN...Until 300 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Roads
and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 902 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rainfall
has ended. Runoff from the 2, to locally 3, inches of rain
that fell across the advisory area will continue to lead to
minor flooding through the remainder of the evening.
Conditions will improve overnight.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Rockford, Waukegan, Crystal Lake, Gurnee, Round Lake Beach,
McHenry, Belvidere, Woodstock, Zion, Loves Park, Machesney
Park, Grayslake, Libertyville, Round Lake, Dixon, Antioch,
Wauconda, Roscoe, Fox Lake and Harvard.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
