Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1047 PM CDT, multiple stream gauges indicated rises above bankfull and flood stage across the area. Streams may continue to rise into the overnight hours from earlier heavy rainfall. Some poor drainage areas may continue to recede slowly. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hammond, Gary, Portage, Merrillville, Valparaiso, Schererville, Hobart, Crown Point, Highland, Munster, Chesterton, Cedar Lake, Griffith, Dyer, St. John, Lake Station, South Haven, Winfield, New Chicago and Burns Harbor. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
