* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southern Mississippi, including the following
counties, Harrison and Jackson.

* WHEN...Until 430 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 121 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Long Beach, Pass Christian,
St. Martin, D'iberville, Latimer, Gulf Hills, Gulf Park
Estates and Gulfport Airport.

COUNTY THROUGH 200 PM CDT
...

At 112 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing funnel clouds over Big Point, or 8 miles
northeast of Escatawpa, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Funnel clouds and winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...If a funnel cloud briefly touches down, minor damage to
outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down
tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Escatawpa, Hurley, Big Point, Wade, and Vancleave.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm and may lead to
