...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THIS MORNING TO LATE FRIDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wisconsin River at Portage. * WHEN...From this morning to late Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.5 feet, Floodwaters affect River Shores Road about 3 miles upstream of Portage in the Town of Lewiston and River Oaks Road about 7 miles downstream of Portage in the Town of Dekorra in Columbia County. Water over Levee Rd and Tritz Rd. There is widespread flooding of roads in the Blackhawk Park Area including West Lake Road...Blackhawk Road and Wood Street. The Blackhawk Park area is on the south side of the river about 3 miles south of Portage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 15.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 18.3 feet early Wednesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.3 feet on 05/22/2017. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood && River forecasts are available for some but not all river gaging locations.
